Handcrafted at our tire shop in Chugiak, the 31" Alaskan
Bushwheel is by far our most popular pick. The impressive ratio of weight to size and solid footprint makes this bush tire the de facto standard for bush pilots. These tires fit
standard 6" wheels.
Common Aircraft: PA-18, PA-12/14, Husky, Scout
Dimensions: 31" x 13" x 6"
Weight: 32 pounds
New! We now offer the heavy tread upgrade as a standard option. Heavy tread 31" Bushwheels are built with a thicker tread layer. Because it typically takes longer to wear through the thicker tread in average conditions, heavy treads are a common choice for pilots operating their aircraft on pavement between backcountry flights.
Standard tread: 3/16"
Heavy tread: 1/4" + approximately 4 lbs per tire additional weight
Bushwheels are FAA TSO C62d approved.
