Handcrafted at our tire shop in Palmer, the 31" Alaskan
Bushwheel is by far our most popular pick. The impressive ratio of weight to size and solid footprint makes this bush tire the de facto standard for bush pilots. These tires fit
standard 6" wheels.
Common Aircraft: PA-18, PA-12/14, Husky, Scout Dimensions: 31" x 13" x 6" Weight: 32 pounds
We also build 31" Alaskan Bushwheel Heavy Treads. Heavy tread 31" Bushwheels are constructed with a thicker tread layer. Because it typically takes longer to wear through the thicker tread in average conditions, heavy treads are a common choice for pilots operating their aircraft on pavement between backcountry flights.
Standard tread: 3/16" Heavy tread: 1/4" + approximately 4 lbs per tire additional weight
Alaskan
Bushwheels are FAA TSO C62d approved
