Why our Sleds Are Different

Airframes Alaska and Northern Sled Works custom-fabricates sleds ideal for winter camping, trapping, wood hauling, expeditions, and general freighting duties. These sleds are constructed of UV-resistant Ultra High Molecular Weight (UHMW) polyethylene, which is highly durable and performs well under extreme arctic conditions.

Sled Varieties

Airframes Alaska and Northern Sled Works produce several types of sleds, to accommodate various purposes.

Siglin Sleds

The original sleds, the Siglin Sleds are tough yet flexible sleds designed to be towed behind a snowmobile. Their proven design has been tested over tens of thousands of miles in the Arctic and Antarctic over the last twenty years.

Cross Fox Sleds

Cross Fox Sleds feature higher sides with a flexible design similar to that of a Siglin Sled.

Siglin Pulks

Siglin pulks are a lightweight, smaller variation of the Siglin Sled. They are perfect for skijoring, mountain climbers, and hunters.

Light Weight Sleds

We also offer lightweight sled options including Racing Pulks and Backcountry Flex Sleds that allow you to roll up and pack into remote areas for gear hauling.

Northern Sled Works Warranty Information
Northern Sled Works Siglin Sleds, Cross Fox Sleds, Siglin Pulks, and custom sleds purchased from Northern Sled Works or an Authorized Dealer are backed by a 1 Year Limited Warranty when used on snow with the vehicles for which they are designed, and for the purposes for which they were intended. If one of these products exhibits structural or functional defects, Northern Sled Works will repair or replace it, at their option, at no cost to the original purchaser.
Northern Sled Works products manufactured from UHMW plastic should be stored out of direct sunlight; failure to do so speeds up the ultraviolet (UV) degradation of the UHMW. Use of Northern Sled Works products on terrain without snow cover voids this warranty, and any abrasion and wear resulting from such use will not be covered. Northern Sled Works products purchased from unauthorized dealers or third parties are not covered by this warranty. Use of Northern Sled Works products to transport people voids this warranty. Use of Northern Sled Works products in any illegal activity voids this warranty.
For repair or replacement of a Northern Sled Works product covered under this warranty, contact Northern Sled Works by calling (907) 331-4480 or by email at info@airframesalaska. Product must be shipped at customers’ expense along with proof that their product was purchased from Northern Sled Works or an Authorized Dealer. No returns will be accepted without prior approval. No returns will be accepted on custom sleds unless damage is covered under this warranty.
Any defective Northern Sled Works product properly returned to Northern Sled Works will be replaced upon inspection. Northern Sled Works reserves the right to determine whether the terms of this warranty, set forth above, have been properly complied with. In the event that the terms are not complied with, Northern Sled Works shall be under no obligation to honor this warranty.
