The newly STC’d Airframes Alaska PA-18 landing gear safety ropes lightweight system uses synthetic ropes instead of stainless steel cables, and titanium hardware instead of steel hardware. Rope fittings are made out of Grade 5 Titanium.
The rope is ¼” 12 strand single braid Technora synthetic rope.
The additional heat shrink over the rope prevents UV damage and maintain strength.

Our ropes are stronger than other cables and can withstand 10,050 lbs. tensile load.
