The Silica Stove Shield is a heat resistant silica glass that protects the mosquito netting when using a stove inside the Nunatak. The shield, which has a tapered design, provides maximum protection against possible melting, but will have minimum impact on weight and packability.

The shield easily clips into the halo from at the top, and into an additional clip in the mosquito net body. This shield is only needed if using the Nunatak in the minimalist configuration.

The Silica Stove Shield is included in the Nunatak mosquito net package.
